England vs India 1st ODI 2022 1st innings highlights: England scored a struggling 110 all-out in 25.2 overs after the early fall of wickets. This is the second-lowest total for England batting at Kennington Oval, London as well as in ODIs. Previously, the lowest total for England at this venue was 103 all-out.

Also, this is the second-lowest total for England in ODIs. Previously, the lowest total for England was against Australia scoring 86 all-out at Manchester in 2001.

At the end of 20 overs, the England batsmen Brydon Carse( 8runs from 15 balls ) and David Willey (8 runs from 12 balls) were trying to score runs through the boundaries by helping their team to reach a total of above 100 runs in order to avoid the embarrassment of the lowest total in ODIs for England.

As the pitch conditions gradually started to become favourable for England Batsmen after 10 overs, the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma ensured his bowlers grabbed quick wickets of the England Batsmen in-order to avoid facing a high total chase.

Only a 35-run long partnership was maintained between Brydon Carse and David Willey. But the partnership was not able to maintain longer, as the Indian Bowler Jasprit Bumrah grabbed his 5th wicket at 103-9 in 23.2 overs, which resulted in the England Batsman Brydon Carse departing after scoring 15 runs from 26 balls.

Also, the score of 110 runs is the lowest ODI total for England vs India. The England skipper Jos Buttler was the top run-scorer for his team as he scored 30 runs from 32 balls (including 6 fours).

The Indian bowlers ensured that the England batsmen do not bat till the end of 50 overs, as the first innings was completed within 25.2 overs of the match.
