England vs India 2nd T20 2022 1st innings Highlights: India scored 170-8 in 20 overs after the collapsing fall of Indian Batsmen wickets as Ravindra Jadeja scoring the important runs for team India during the final phase of first innings.

England winning the toss and choosing to bowl first restricted the Indian batsmen from scoring a high total in their first innings.

The Indian opening batsman and skipper Rohit Sharma tried a new opening batting combination by promoting Rishabh Pant from a middle order batsman to an opening batsman.

India scored 66-1 in the first six overs of the powerplay after losing their skipper and opening Batsman Rohit Sharma after scoring a quick 31 runs from 20 balls (including 3 fours and 2 sixes).

After the fall of Rohit Sharma’s wicket, the match became tough for Indian batsmen scoring many dot balls rather than converting into runs and a proper partnership was not maintained between the Indian batsmen.

Virat Kohli continues with his poor form after scoring only 1 run in this match as he is travelling through the toughest times.

Rishabh Pant departed for 26 runs from 15 balls (including 4 fours and 1 six), immediately after the fall of Virat Kohli’s wicket as he was not able to continue his innings for long.

Rohit Sharma’s experimental innings by promoting Rishabh Pant as an opening batsman did not work out well.

Suryakumar Yadav was not able to maintain a proper partnership with Hardik Pandya by scoring only 15 runs from 11 balls (including 2 fours).

Hardik Pandya, who was the star performer in the previous match of this T20 series played a struggling knock scoring only 12 runs from 15 balls after the quick fall wickets of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant and Suryakumar Yadav.

India finally reached 101-5 in the 13 overs after facing many tough deliveries. At the 15th over of the match, Ravindra Jadeja luckily survived from a stump out when he was at 10 runs.

Dinesh Karthik was finally run out by Harry Brook and Jos Buttler after scoring a struggling 12 runs from 17 balls.

India reached 151-7 in the 17.5 overs of the match as the all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja ensuring that his team reaches a safe total in the first innings as well as to play a fantastic innings.

Ravindra Jadeja was the top scoring batsman of India as he scored 46 runs from 29 balls (including 5 fours) and played the most important crucial innings for team India and ensured that his team reached a total of 170-8 in 20 overs.

England Bowler Chris Jordan threatened the Indian batsmen with his excellent performance of 27-4 in 4 overs.

Though the run rate was good at the start of the first innings, but the quick fall wickets and a lot of mis-timed shots led the Indian batsmen become an easy prey to the England Bowlers.

None of the Indian batsmen, except Ravindra Jadeja manage to score huge runs.

But finally, India managed to score 170 runs which is a good score to defend as well as chase at this venue.

Can India defend their target against England with their bowling and fielding performance to win this match as well as this T20 series?
