The 2nd innings of the match started with an unexpected bigger twist as Ireland completely dominated India in their first powerplay.
The opening Batsman Paul Stirling seemed to be threat for India as he scored a quick-fire 40 runs from just 18 balls ( including 5 fours and 3 sixes) , but he was bowled out by Ravi Bishnoi at 72-1 in just 5.3 overs of the match.
Ireland scored 73-1 in the first 6 overs of their powerplay during the 2nd innings of the match. Whereas compared to India, Ireland was 19 runs ahead as the Indians scored 54-1 in their first 6 overs of the match.
Ireland captain and opening batsman Andrew Balbirnie scored 60 runs from 37 balls (including 3 fours and 7 sixes). Later, he was caught by Ravi Bishnoi at the boundaries being bowled by Harshal Patel.

After the dismissal of Andrew Balbirnie, Harry Tector continued with his good form as he scored 39 runs from 28 balls and maintained a 47-run partnership with Dockrell to keep Ireland’s hopes alive in a high-score chasing game.
Finally, Harry Tector had to depart at 189-5 in 17.1 overs but the match wasn’t over yet.
George Dockrell played the excellent knock of an unbeaten 34 runs from 16 balls ( 3 fours and 3 sixes), which made the match more interesting till the last ball.
The final over of the match seemed to be the turning point as the youngster Umraan Malik bowled the important over of the match.
With 17 runs required off the last over, Indians seemed to be under pressure when a no-ball was bowled by Umraan Malik in a crucial stage of the match.
As the last ball required 6 runs to win, the bowler Umraan Malik and the Indian fielders ensured that the Ireland batsman Mark Adair does not play any power-hitting shots as he managed to take a single run from the final ball.
India finally wins the match by 4 runs and also wins the series with a lead of 2-0. The Ireland team managed to score 221-5 in a tough fighting contest against India.
Also, this is the 2nd Highest T20 total for Ireland in T20 international matches.
